BUSINESS INTUITION…?

Intuition has now become one of the most sought after skills in the business arena. You’re seeing it everywhere in business magazines and blogs. It quickly blew past the initial “do you think ‘intuition’ is important in business” phase and directly into a stampede of people trying to find out how to hone this powerful skill.

“Intuition becomes increasingly valuable in the new information society precisely because there is so much data.” ~John Naisbitt

What would your organization look like if your team was able to…

  • Know every time someone was being dishonest and felt confident enough to question them about it?
  • Were able to sense the hidden meaning behind words, or what’s not being said, in client, vendor and internal relationships?
  • Could quickly and easily discern which opportunities were worth exploring
and which are a waste of time?
  • Were able to sense a project going off the rails long before there are any actual
    issues?
  • Implicitly trusted the messages they received throughout the day that can help
them with everything from how to structure a proposal to when to make that ‘all important’ phone call?
  • Could sense who in the room is a champion and who is a saboteur?

Any one of these skills, in my personal opinion, are PRICELESS in the business world.

Here’s something else to think about…EVERYONE has intuition, it is not a gift granted to the chosen few - the problem is that most of us have had it conditioned out of us. The trick is learning how to recognize and trust it again.

So, the question becomes…is your organization ready to take peak performance to the next level?
